Soundproof Ceiling Solutions
Reduce Impact and Airborne Noise
Reduce Noisy Ceilings and Cross-Talk Problems
Ceilings are often the biggest noise problem in buildings – footsteps from upstairs, voices carrying between offices, or just general noise transmission between floors. The challenge is that most ceilings aren’t designed with acoustics in mind, so they become the weak link in your soundproofing.
We tackle ceiling noise problems two ways: Barrierboard systems for structural noise reduction that can improve acoustics by up to 75%, and specialised barrier materials or absorption materials for suspended ceiling applications where sound travels over partition walls.
The main culprit is usually impact noise – footsteps, furniture movement, and general activity from above. But we also deal with airborne noise transmission and the cross-talk (flanking noise) problem common in offices where sound travels over walls through common ceiling spaces.
